Lost ships (not reimbursement related!) in the forum Interstellar Rift 4 years, 10 months ago
Hey, everyone!
Does the server have the means to clear out abandoned player ships? I had a bit of a mishap involving my newbie ship and some skrill; I got away, leaking fuel and power, and I’m pretty sure I’ll run out of air long before I make it home. I don’t want this ship just cluttering up the server (unless finding derelicts is part of the…[Read more]

Interstellar Rift
Public Chapter active 3 years agoYou have not played a space sim until you have played Interstellar Rift. Interstellar Rift starts you out with a fair amount of in-game currency; enough to buy a starter ship of your choice: Fighter, Freighter, or Industrial and allows you to build your character’s faction, resources, and reputation with other players, or destroy it.
This game can be unforgiving in the PVP arena as ships lost are lost — there are no respawning of ships and resources lost via a ship battle may be collected and salvaged by the victor.
This is not a solo game; for solo players, this game is relentlessly tedious, however it shines in team-play and team-pvp with multiple members of a fleet crewing a ship. While there will be no physical planets in the game, the mechanics currently in the game have it shaping up to be one of the best space sims of all time with dynamic, cross-system missions, warp travel, worm-hole travel to an infinate amount of star systems, ship boarding parties and on-ship combat — all of this on ships that players have designed, detailed, and built.
NOTE: This game is 100% OpenGL – high end “boxed” PC’s will run this game but we recommend at least a low-end gamming rig.
